• Sign-in token (browser local storage) — keeps you signed in between visits and identifies your account so your debates are yours. It is set when you sign in and removed when you sign out. It is essential; the site cannot work without it.
• Interface preference (cookie, “sidebar_state”) — remembers whether a sidebar panel was left open or closed. It contains no personal information and expires after about a week.

That is the full list. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social media buttons that track you, heatmaps, session recording or fingerprinting, and we do not set anything that follows you to other websites.

Consent is required for storage that is not essential — analytics, advertising, personalisation by third parties. Everything listed above is strictly necessary to provide a service you requested (keeping you signed in and remembering a display choice), so it falls outside that requirement and no banner is shown.

If analytics or advertising is ever added, this page and a consent mechanism will be added before it goes live, with the ability to refuse as easily as to accept.

Checkout takes place on the payment provider’s own secure page. Its cookies and similar technologies are set by that provider, under its own cookie and privacy notices, and are outside our control.

Signing out clears the sign-in token. You can also clear cookies and site data for this site in your browser settings at any time — you will be signed out and will need to sign in again. Blocking this storage entirely will stop sign-in from working.

We do not track you across sites, so there is nothing here for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off.
